I am Daxter. I am a Portuguese multi-disciplinary Art Director and Designer, currently based in London.
I am currently working as a Designer at Super Rare Games.

I have over +3 years of experience across freelance, in-house and publishing backgrounds. I have worked on over +50 physical and digital game releases. Having always been outrageously interested in exploring technology, mediums and solving interesting problems, I urge all projects should strive to be as conceptually interesting as possible.

In my spare time, I work as a freelance Designer. I am a British Cubs Leader and a Portuguese Scout for over a decade. But I also love playing videogames, guitar, tennis and been slowly gathering a bigger interest in reading. "Empty Genius" (Mihai Eminescu, 1903) is an unknown masterpiece. Additionally, I quite enjoy teaching myself new skills such as drawing with Graphite and charcoal, programming, video editing and PC Building; to name a few. An example being this website, which was coded and built from scratch by me.
Across many years, I have collected videogames and Disney's Stitch merch. I believe Brain-Computer Interface will set the next era for humankind, and Mixed Reality (not VR or Spatial Computing, but both at the same time) is the next logical step in immersive visual communication. All of this to say, I am a very big sucker for it.

I graduated with BA(Hons) Graphic Design at the University of Hertfordshire in 2022. During my time at University, I worked as a freelance designer for small local businesses. I re-enacted the School of Creative Arts Society as its President, Events Coordinator and Designer, which hosted school-wide physical and online award-winning events; which still run to this day. Additionally took on the role of Brand Manager & Social Media Manager in two other university communities. In my third year, I was employed by the school as one of three school-wide student voice representatives and manager for more than one hundred student representatives across all disciplines. In total hosting and organised over +50 events.

I had the opportunity to give a talk at my graduation as a Graduate Thanker. | I was a mentee at Creative Mentor Network's Break the Wall 24. | Created a game prototype by myself in 15 days for Pirate Software's Game Jam '24.

My main design interests are Art Direction, Branding & Advertising.
